Urban Monkey

Reports have come in of sightings of a monkey jumping from rooftop to rooftop in the areas of Hawthorn and Kew, in Victoria, Australia.

Witnesses say the monkey has been causing havoc of all sorts, from raiding fruit bowls to stealing lingerie off clothes lines. Police have advised residents and their pets to stay indoors while wildlife protection agencies attempt to track down and relocate the animal.

Some, however, are calling for the monkey to be left alone, saying that it is a good omen. Many walls have been spray painted with the phrase "Go Urban Monky" (sic). Although youths are denying any involvement, and claim the monkey is responsible.
